In the photo, 52 experts in cardiac rehabilitation from over 20 countries are gathered in London, UK, celebrating their participation in the 1st ever Global Cardiac Rehab Forum (August 29, 2024), hosted by ICCPR and SOLVE-CHD (Australia). The group, largely composed of ICCPR members, is united by their shared commitment to advancing cardiac rehabilitation worldwide. |
ICCPR held a successful hybrid meeting with 11 members attending in person and 26 online in London (August 2024). Reps from BACPR (UK), ASSOBRAFIR (Brazil), Association Francophone de Cardiologie Préventive, Georgian Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, Philippine Heart Association and ACRA (Australia) attended the event in person. We updated on ICCPR's progress and welcomed our new Chair, Dr Ghisi, as she begins her 2-year mandate. | A large, well-lit conference room filled with 70 participants attended the Cardiac Rehabilitation Workshop held during the Kenya Cardiac Society Annual Scientific Congress in Mombasa, Kenya (July 2024). The workshop, held in collaboration with ICCPR, featured a diverse group of professionals including cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, physicians, general practitioners, nurses, and physiotherapists. Attendees were actively engaged in learning about the clinical benefits of cardiac rehabilitation, best practices, challenges, and career opportunities. |
Prof Robyn Gallagher (ICCPR Chair), together with Prof Julie Redfern (Principal Investigator, SOLVE-CHD), Ms Carmel Bourne (ACRA President), and Ms Dawn McIvor officially launches the National Cardiac Rehabilitation Provider Certification Initiative at a packed room at the Australian Cariovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association (ACRA) 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting in Sydney, Australia (July). This exciting Australia-wide initiative is a product of the collaboration between ACRA, ICCPR and SOLVE-CHD. This year's edition, the world's largest conference of its kind, boasted over 2200 attendees.
